'Drunk uncle out here lying again": Kevin Durant slams Shannon Sharpe for 'LeBron James GOAT' quote with Westbrook meme

Nets’ superstar Kevin Durant calls out the host of Undefeated, Shannon Sharpe for spreading quotes which he never said

The latest episode of The Undefeated has sparked some concern from Kevin Durant, due to what Shannon Sharpe said in his segment. Sharpe picked up a quote he had read, which said it KD has said the same on his ETC podcast.

The quote read, “People try to discredit my rings, but honestly I feel like they’re the most valuable of our era. People argue [LeBron James] is the GOAT, but I beat him in back-to-back finals, so what does that make me?”

This was something that a fan had edited out of the podcast, and wasn’t said by KD himself.

Kevin Durant gets back at Shannon Sharpe for misquoting him

Kevin Durant is one of the best players in the current day NBA and would go down as one of the all-time greats. However, he is as destructive on social media, as he is on the court. He doesn’t mince his words or shies away from saying what’s on his mind. When he saw the video of what Shannon Sharpe said, he did not restrain himself from calling Shannon out.

Even if Shannon read the tweet online, it is quite shocking how Sharpe and his team did not check facts before saying the same on-air.

Kevin Durant replies with a Russell Westbrook meme

A person on Twitter tried to defend Shannon by saying it was KD he was quoting. However, KD was having none of that and replied to the same with a classic Russ meme.

Whatever is said and done, one thing is to be remembered, KD and LBJ have tremendous respect for each other, and hence its highly unlikely either of them would make such a statement about the other.
