Parody account, Kurupt Sports has made a claim on Twitter, that Ja Morant has lost his $12 million Nike contract. The Grizzlies guard was recently filmed brandishing a gun yet again. This time in a car while jamming to some of his favorite rap tunes.

The 2020 Rookie of the Year has had a troubled season. In particular, due to his many issues surrounding guns. He has already been suspended once before for a similar incident. And, after serving out the suspension, he admittedly claimed to have understood his wrongdoing.
Now, it looks like he is back at it again, and Memphis has once more suspended him indefinitely. However, contrary to the claims made by Kurupt, Ja has not lost his Nike deal. At least, not yet.
Following a controversial IG live video, a parody Twitter account claims Ja Morant has lost his Nike deal
Ja Morant has gone viral. But, once again, it is for all the wrong reasons. The two-time All-Star was once again spotted flashing a weapon in an Instagram Live video. And, to no one’s surprise, it was a gun.
Following the same, players, fans, and the media have wondered what the repercussions would be. And, with tensions high, the parody Twitter account, Kurupt Sports rode the wave. They shared a tweet claiming that Nike had cut ties with Morant, canceling his $12 million deal.
Luckily for Ja, things aren’t set in stone yet. However, there are those who still believe that if anything, Nike should at least pause their ongoing partnership with the now-suspended Grizzlies star.
Nike parts ways with Ja Morant permanently.

I expect Nike to at least pause its relationship with Ja Morant by tomorrow.

Things are certainly looking bad for Ja. And, with his partnership with Nike now being questioned, one has to wonder if his shoe deal will be the only endorsement he could potentially lose.
Along with Nike, Powerade and other endorsers should also be questioning their partnership with Morant
As things stand, Ja Morant is yet to lose his $12 million Nike deal. But, the business world is fickle, and his actions will definitely be bad for PR. So, with the possibility of Nike pulling the plug on the deal, who’s to say Ja’s other endorsers, including Powerade, aren’t considering the same?

The next few days, neigh hours are looking dicey for Morant. Hopefully, he has some explanation for his actions that will allow him to keep his deals.
