After an injury-plagued start to his high school career, LeBron James Jr (more popularly known as Bronny) has shown some glimpses of the talent that his genes should carry in abundance.
Bronny made it to the Mcdonald’s All-American Game this year and was also invited to the Nike Hoop Summit. The 18-year-old is on the way to also make an appearance at the Jordan Brand Classic.
FACT CHECK: Has Bronny James Committed to USC?
A popular Twitter handle took advantage of a spike in searches around LeBron James’ eldest son to put out a satire tweet. It indicates that the 18-year-old Bronny has finally taken a decision on his college future, committing to USC.

However, a cursory glance through all relevant sports news sources confirms that this isn’t actually the case. Unlike other high-profile college recruits who announce their decision at the start of their senior year, Bronny is taking extra time to reach his final decision.
The combo guard has reportedly narrowed down his options to 3 choices – USC, Ohio State and Oregon. All 3 college programs are campaigning extensively to get the biggest name-brand of the class.
A Scouting Report on Bronny’s Game
Bronny James has a smooth and consistent shooting stroke with good mechanics. He shows a preference for shooting from beyond the arc and has good range, often pulling up confidently from well beyond the three-point line.
He has a quick release and is able to shoot off the catch or the dribble. He’s also shown some ability to create his own shot. While he has shown potential as a shooter, he will need to refine his shot selection and work on his consistency to become a more effective scorer at the next level.
Overall, Bronny’s shot profile indicates that he has the potential to be a solid perimeter scorer and could develop into a reliable three-point threat.
In addition, his defensive intensity and IQ are worthy of praise. The 6’3″ guard is able to guard both guard positions, and may eventually grow to guard small forwards too.
