After the Lakers clinched yet another preseason game win, the 6ft 2” guard spoke highly about the franchise. Gabe Vincent speaks about the Los Angeles Lakers’ continuous growth
Gabe Vincent was slightly subpar in the first two preseason games. However, Vincent proved himself to all the doubters during the contest against the Sacramento Kings. Playing 26 minutes, the starting guard recorded 18 points on 58.3% shooting from the field.
Following LAL’s 109-101 win, Vincent discussed several topics with Mike Bresnahan of Spectrum SportsNet. Apart from talking about the game, Gabe also discussed the chemistry in the Lakers camp.
Vincent: “Me and my guys are just doing a good job moving the ball… we just had some good action.”
Bresnahan: “Training camp started exactly one week ago today, how comfortable are you feeling here with the Lakers?”
Vincent: “More and more each day. Get to know each other, getting to know how guys move, how guys play… We’re starting to grow.”
He also spoke about D’Angelo Russell’s impressive three-game stint. D’Lo, who recorded 21 points and 8 assists tonight, received huge praise from his backcourt pairing.
Vincent: “He’s been great. D’Lo makes the game easy… He pushes the pace, he gets guys inspired, makes the right read. He’s been playing really well at a high level.”
