“Gamble with Charles Barkley”: $85,000,000 Worth Spurs Legend Celebrated his HOF Induction By Wagering Against Tiger Woods’ Enabler
Tony Parker’s brilliance in the NBA and as a San Antonio Spurs player earned him a much-coveted place in the Basketball Hall of Fame. However, hours before Parker got inducted into the HOF, the $85,000,000 superstar was gambling with Tiger Woods’ enabler Charles Barkley just ahead of the HOF ceremony. Parker revealed more about such incidents on his own TV show, SKWEEK, on September 18th’s episode with Pau Gasol, Dirk Nowitzki, and Dwyane Wade.
Tony Parker’s new TV show is one of a kind, featuring several eminent personalities. In this show, Parker invites special guests such as French soccer legend Thiery Henry and NBA stars Pau Gasol, Dirk Nowitzki, Dwyane Wade, and Matt Pokora and engages in sporting and other interesting conversations with them.
Tony Parker was gambling with Charles Barkley just hours before his Hall of Fame induction
The SKWEEK’s 18th September episode showed Tony Parker discussing his Hall of Fame celebrations. Parker got inducted into the HOF this year alongside Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki. Of course, the Frenchman had the best plans to celebrate this achievement with his family and high-profile friends, such as soccer royalty Thiery Henry and the French Mafia.
However, nothing tipped off the celebrations as better than gambling with Charles Barkley. Just hours before the HOF ceremony, Parker admitted he was gambling with Barkley. Speaking about this experience, Parker narrated
“I was able to gamble with Charles Barkley. So that was pretty cool. I always heard about the stories about Charles Barkley gambling. It was my first time gambling with him two years ago at the hall of fame. So, that was pretty cool!”
Dwyane Wade didn’t fail to highlight how Parker’s entire crew heavily gambled the night he got inducted. On the other hand, Charles Barkley is one of the veteran NBA legends known for his gambling activities. He and Michael Jordan had gained the most negative publicity for their off-court gambling pursuits during the ’90s decade.
Parker has a lucky streak when it comes to Poker
Tony Parker has always been a huge fan of Poker. The former Spurs player has been playing the game since his early Spurs days over the last twenty years. Though he considers Timmy (Duncan) and Michael Finley as decent players, he still regards himself as better than them.
In 2021, Tony Parker was spotted playing in the $10,000 World Series of Poker (WSOP) game. Guess post-retirement Tony Parker is living his life in the most colorful and vibrant manner possible.
