"Giannis Antetokounmpo and Stephen Curry?" Bucks Star Fuels Warriors Trade Rumors With Coy Smile

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks attained the first seed during the regular season, however, failed to get past the first round. Of course, the Greek Freak himself deserves a part of the blame. However, a big reason behind their collapse has also been due to the inability of his co-stars to help him out when he needs it most. Going off this, there have been countless rumors of him potentially leaving to team up with Stephen Curry and the Warriors. And as a clip shows, when the star was asked about it, he didn’t do much at all to shut the racket down.

Antetokounmpo is already 28 years old now, smack-dab in the middle of his prime, which means that he no longer has any time to waste. And considering the aging supporting cast around him, it may indeed be time to make a move. However, what is Giannis’s verdict on joining the Golden State Warriors?

Giannis Antetokounmpo could not deny fans’ offer to join Stephen Curry and the Warriors

Giannis Antetokounmpo has always been big on loyalty. After staying with the Bucks through thick and thin, the Greek Freak led the team to a title in 2021. So, in many ways, he has already fulfilled any kind of duty he ever had to the city.

Despite that however many people expect him to deny any rumors of him potentially leaving. Yet, when he was openly asked to join Stephen Curry in the Bay Area, all he could manage was a little shy smile while repeating just one word over and over again. Take a look at the tweet by Guru below.

“Aye…”

It must be noted that the man did not say he was ready to do it. However, he also did not say that he wants to stay with the Bucks stay at the moment, or anything of the like. Instead, all he could really do was offer up an embarrassed smile before the clip cuts out.

Also note that in 2019, rumors of Giannis Antetokounmpo joining the Warriors were stronger than ever. And then later in 2022, Steve Kerr even said he’d love to coach the Bucks superstar. Take a look at the tweet by FilGoal below.

Given everything going on here, of course, fans have gone absolutely bonkers over this clip of Giannis. Here are just a few of those reactions.

How did fans react to this clip?

Some fans were left to wonder just how hard the impact would be on the parity of the NBA. And like one Twitter user’s tweet below, many came to just one conclusion – there would be no parity in the league.

“Giannis Antetokounmpo with Stephen Curry?”

Others simply couldn’t help but be excited by the prospect of these two joining forces together, something this Warriors fan couldn’t help but love.

And then, of course, there were the others, like the Twitter user below.

Of course, if this was done, Stephen Curry and his team would receive unlimited flack from the NBA community at large. But really, no number of words from detractors can quite get through the solid gold this team-up would win. But, whether or not this will really happen is yet to be seen.
