"Giannis wanted to be a soccer player growing up": Bucks MVP displays his impressive soccer skills amidst blowout Game 2 win over Jimmy Butler and the Heat

During a blowout win against the Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo displays his impressive soccer skills.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in the league. The way Milwaukee Bucks’ leader is able to dominate on both sides of the court, on any given night, is beyond unparalleled. Up until a few years back, the Bucks were a lottery-bound team. Because of the development of Giannis and behind his leadership, the franchise is now one of the strong title contenders.

The back-to-back reigning MVP had a great 2020-2021 campaign. Finishing with an incredible 46-26 record, Milwaukee finished third in the East only behind Philly and Brooklyn.

As a result of their regular-season success, the Bucks get to face Jimmy Butler and his Heat. Meeting Miami in the first round this postseason, Giannis has the perfect opportunity to seek revenge for last season’s surprising second-round upset.

The Greek Freak and his Bucks are looking to be locked trying to avoid the mistakes they made last year. The Bucks, looking to be a more strong and determined team than before, have been absolutely terrific so far. Backed by their MVP, who has averaged 28.5 points, 15.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists in the series so far, the Milwaukee team has taken a comfortable 2-0 lead over the Miami Heat.

Grabbing a huge 132-98 Game 2 win, the game seemed to be so uncompetitive for Giannis, that he decided to showcase his impressive soccer skills to the enthusiastic fans at the Fiserv Forum. Early in the fourth quarter, the 26-year-old started juggling the basketball with his legs.

When asked about the soccer juggles, or as the reporter liked to call it- ‘keepie uppies’, Giannis casually revealed how he could go on to do 300 of those. The 5-time All-Star further revealed his love for the sport:

“I could do probably like 300 of those. I used to play soccer when I was younger. My dad used to be a soccer player. I wanted to play soccer, I didn’t want to play basketball growing up. So yeah, I was just trying to have fun, you know?”

Clearly, there is very little that the 6-foot-11 superstar hasn’t already mastered.
