Paul George is one of the best two-way players in the league. Ever since the 7-time All-Star along with Kawhi Leonard, joined the Los Angeles Clippers organisation, everyone assumed them to be a strong powerhouse. However, after a poor playoffs performance in the last year’s NBA bubble, PG13 has lost the reputation he once had of a megastar. People cruelly started trolling George, calling him all sorts of names like – “Pandemic P”, “Way off P” and many more disrespectful ones.
It seems as if Paul has taken all the name-calling and taunts personally. Ever since the 2020-2021 campaign started, George was set to prove his doubters wrong. After averaging 23.3/6.6/5.2 and earning All-NBA honours in the regular season, the 31-year-old has found a way to elevate his game even more in the postseason.
Against the Phoenix Suns, on Monday night, Paul George was absolutely terrific. After a slow 11 point first half, George went on to put up 30 in the second half, finishing the game with an incredible 41 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists performance on 75/50/100 shooting. Grabbing a huge 116-102 Game 5 win, LAC lives to fight another day, trailing 3-2 in the Conference Finals.

“I don’t know where this trolling bullsh*t comes from”: DeMarcus Cousins defends Paul George from all the slander he receives
It is safe to say that Paul George is playing on an incredible level this campaign. PG has been putting up 27.2/9.7/5.6 in the playoffs and is on an incredible 18 game streak scoring 20 points or more. And with Kawhi sidelined with a horrific knee injury, George has clearly stepped up in The Klaw’s absence, averaging 30.9 points, 11.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists in the last 7 games.
Despite this MVP type performance, whenever the Clippers lose a game, George is somehow blamed and blasted by his trolls. Following the win on Monday night, DeMarcus Cousins decided to call out the trolls and defended George in the postgame interview. Cousins said:
“I don’t know where this trolling bullshit comes from. The internet controls the narratives. Kind of foolish man. Give this dude his flowers. I don’t understand the slander. That’s one of the most special players to ever lace his shoes up.”

Whenever the Clippers seem to have their backs against the wall, it’s Paul George who gets his team out of the hole. Now, trailing 3-2 in the WCF, PG will have a lot of work to do before he can breathe a sigh of relief.
With the series shifting back to LA, the Clippers, who have won 5 out of their last 6 homes games, will aim to level the series at 3 apiece. On the other hand, Chris Paul and his Phoenix Suns will aim to wrap the series up and get some rest before the NBA Finals.
