Jimmy Butler and Neymar Jr. have polar opposite personalities despite dominating their respective sports. While Neymar relies on his natural talent to dance and frolic past defenders, Butler is the definition of hard work. However, having met a few years ago, the duo instantly became fond of each other. Their friendship has evolved over the years and both have been seen attending each other’s games. In fact, back in 2019, Butler was even ready to ‘forgo’ his four-year, $140.79 million contract to play alongside his best friend. A few weeks after the soccer sensation witnessed Butler play in Games 3 and 4 of the recently concluded NBA Finals, the Miami Heat star is on a trip to Brazil to visit his friend. Spotted bowling and enjoying a helicopter ride in the South American country, Butler was even present to celebrate the gender-reveal party for the baby Neymar is expecting with his girlfriend.

Surrounded by controversies, things haven’t been a smooth sailing for the Paris Saint-Germain superstar lately. In the midst of being accused of cheating on his pregnant girlfriend, the construction of his mansion in Rio de Janeiro was stopped and could cost him a $1,050,000 fine due to environmental violations. As per a Reuters report: The luxury project violated rules regarding use and movement of fresh water sources, rock and sand, the local government said in a statement.

While there still hasn’t been any solution to the problem of the construction of his house, the situation with his girlfriend Bruna Biancardi seems to be much better. Right after the Brazilian Forward apologized to Biancardi in an Instagram post, the couple looked happy as they made an appearance at a charity auction.

Just a few days after penning down a heartfelt apology, Neymar and Biancardi learned that they were being blessed with a baby girl. Jimmy Butler was one of the many friends and family members present at the gender-reveal party.

Congratulating the 2015 UCL winner, the NBA’s six-time All-Star shared an emotional Instagram post for his close friend. Father of 3-year-old Rylee Butler, Jimmy welcomed “Ney” to the girl-dad club.

Butler lost a $100 bet to Neymar

Neymar and Butler are two of the fiercest competitors in World sports. Being extremely competitive, both of them were seen placing bets while bowling.

Right after Neymar hit a spare, Butler and one of their friends handed him a $100 bill. Have a look at the clip that Jimmy shared on his Instagram stories in the following tweet by NBA Celeb Updates.

It may the offseason, but Neymar and Butler are displaying their competitive spirit to the fullest. It’s good to see Jimmy get over the loss in the NBA Finals in a healthy way.
