‘Hurt’ LeBron James’ Deleted Tweet About ‘Not Missing Playoffs’ Resurfaces After Lakers Beat Warriors to Reach WCF
LeBron James kept his most prolific performance of this year’s Playoffs for Game 6 in Crypto.com Arena, to knock off a resilient Warriors team from the 2023 NBA Playoffs. James, who had to delete a Twitter post of his from a year ago, where he promised to not miss the Playoffs again, came up with a 30-9-9 performance and led his Lakers team to clinch the series against the defending Champions.
The very team which started their 2022-23 regular season with a 2-10 record, and struggled until the end of the season to keep themselves in West’s Top-10, has now reached the Western Conference Finals.
While Anthony Davis is the key to this success, it wasn’t happening without the 38-year-old, who promised his fans that he would not miss the Playoffs again in his career.
LeBron James’ now deleted resolution of not missing the Playoffs comes to the fore as he leads the Lakers to Conference Finals
The poor guy had to delete a Tweet in December that he made back in April last year while watching the Playoffs from his couch, in which he said, “I can/will not miss the post-season again for my career! This sh*t hurt. Ok back to watching these games.”
Molly Morrison of the Bleacher Report, who is also a notable Grizzlies fan, brought it up through her Twitter handle.
the lakers looked SO bad to start this season that Lebron literally deleted this tweet in December

In the 2021-22 season, the Lakers had missed out on booking a Playoffs or even Play-in birth after finishing the season at 33-49, 11th best in the West.
They weren’t looking any good at the start of this season either. But then Rob Pelinka pulled off some trades that sent Russell Westbrook away and brought in D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, and Rui Hachimura in February.
That changed the season for the Lakers. And now, here they are, face to face with the #1 seed, in the Western Conference Finals, the Denver Nuggets. What a rollercoaster of a season.
Can the Lakers win it all?
Sure they can. If they can win a road game in Chase Center and eliminate the defending champions in six games they can do it against the Nuggets and any team that makes it through the East.
However, the Nuggets, who beat the team with the best odds from the West to win it all, will have a hefty say. After eliminating the Suns from contention, and displaying a superior team effort, Nikola Jokic and co. may even be a tougher test for James and the Lakers, than the team that makes it to the Finals from the Eastern Conference.
