Dwyane Wade made quite the business decision in 2021 when he decided to purchase a minority stake in the Utah Jazz franchise. He became just one of three former players of the NBA to currently hold stake in a franchise, with Grant Hill (minority stake in the Atlanta Hawks) and Michael Jordan (majority stake in the Charlotte Hornets) being the other two.

Given the fact that Wade is a Chicago native and spent nearly his entire career with the Miami Heat, it was quite surprising to see him align himself with a franchise he never truly had any connection with. Regardless, it seems as though he’s completely enveloped himself within this organization.
D-Wade has been seen courtside for Jazz games on a multitude of occasions. He’s clearly been putting in work behind the scenes given just how much more the franchise is worth now compared to 2021.
Dwyane Wade on the Jazz increasing in value by 28%
It’s been revealed that the Utah Jazz have increased in value from $1.75 billion to $2.25 billion since Dwyane Wade came on board as a minority stake holder in 2021, marking an increase of $500 million. Wade responded to this report by saying he’s ‘added value’.

Having a player be a part-owner of an NBA team does wonders for that team given just how much reach they have across the country. The Jazz have managed to increase in value despite them revamping their roster and going from title contenders to rebuilding with Lauri Markkanen at the helm.
Wade has brought more eyes to the Jazz and has even began making the team one of the most tech-savvy franchises in the entire league. He’s managed to achieve all of this at the ripe age of 41.
Dwyane Wade has a massive deal with Li-Ning
Unlike players such as LeBron James or Kevin Durant who signed with sneaker goliaths like Nike, Dwyane Wade went down the China route and signed with Li-Ning in 2012. He signed a $60 million deal that would last for 10 years.
Over the years, Lin-Ning has established itself as a premier basketball sneaker brand, signing the likes of Jimmy Butler and CJ McCollum in the process. They’ve gotten so successful that they’ve allowed Wade to have his own line of sneakers known as the ‘Way of Wade’, similar to Nike and Jordan Brand.
