“I don’t know why they ask for this idiot’s opinion”: Nets’ Kevin Durant roasts Charles Barkley for suggesting NBA players should jump the vaccine queue
Kevin Durant recorded possibly the best roast of his life, ridiculing Charles Barkley on Instagram for suggesting NBA players should get the vaccine earlier.
The Nets are currently losing to the Cavaliers for the second straight game, having rested Kevin Durant. But KD stays winning off the court, and his Instagram game looks as strong as it ever has been. Yesterday, he teamed up with LeBron to ridicule old talking heads for needless criticism.
He focused his ire specifically on Charles Barkley in a latter post. This was regarding Barkley’s take on the whole NBA, NFL game cancellation scenario due to Covid tracing. Barkley made the suggestion a few days back that players deserved the vaccine earlier since they paid higher taxes.

BasketballNews.com’s Etan Thomas posted about Barkley’s recent comments on Instagram. “Yea, that’ll go over well Barkley smh,” is what Thomas captioned the post with.
KD replied with a savage comment: “I don’t know why they still ask for this idiot’s opinion.”

Durant has a number of reasons to be disrespectful of Chuck. Firstly, Chuck’s comments about KD trying to superteam did not go down well with the latter – especially considering how Chuck himself did it. Next, Chuck has been very harsh about Kyrie Irving over the past couple of months.
Irving and KD are as close as NBA friends can get. Durant probably could not let go of how mean Chuck was to Kyrie for his ‘pawn comments’. KD definitely knows a lot more about the circumstances of Kyrie’s comments than Chuck did. Even though KD might agree with Kyrie needing to talk to the media, he definitely wouldn’t have liked the parental, condescending tone Chuck had taken. This roast is right in line with that sentiment.
