“I’ll Go Down and Toast Draymond Green”: Steve Kerr’s Hilarious Reaction to GSW’s DPOY Passing Michael Jordan in All-time 3-pointers

After defeating the Chicago Bulls, the Golden State Warriors managed to clinch yet another victory at the Chase Center. Grabbing a 120-101 win over Kevin Porter Jr. and the Houston Rockets, the defending champs are now unbeaten in their last 11 home games.

With Klay Thompson sitting out with injuries, the All-Star duo of Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins had some huge performances. Knocking down 24 of the team’s 45 made field goals, the pair combined for 66 points with 16 3-pointers.

However, it was a historic night for Draymond Green. Coming off a stat sheet-stuffing 13/9/10 performance, Green recorded merely 3 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists in 31:45 minutes. Despite having an underwhelming outing, just the one 3-pointer tonight was enough for Dray to achieve an impressive feat.

“That’s a random stat, but yeah we’ll celebrate that”: Steve Kerr on Draymond Green surpassing Michael Jordan

By knocking down the 1st three-pointer of the game, Green recorded his 582nd career 3-pointer. Now, 582 career 3FGM is only good enough to be the 322nd in NBA history.

However, it is an impressive milestone for the former Defensive Player of the Year because he passed Michael Jordan (581 3FGM).

Steve Kerr, who was Jordan’s teammate during their Chicago Bulls days, had a rather hilarious reaction when he learned about Green’s accomplishment. In the postgame interview, the GSW coach said:

“That’s a random stat, but yeah we’ll celebrate that. I’ll go down and toast Draymond downstairs.”

NBA Twitter reacts as Green knocks down more career threes than Michael Jordan

As soon as the stat went viral on social media, NBA Twitter blew up with various reactions.

Trailing Steph by only 2,650 more 3-pointers, Green is coming to break his teammate’s record. Sure, Draymond, we believe in you.
