The 6′ 6″ Bulls legend played each game with the thought of proving his haters wrong. What was the result of such a mentality? 6-0 in the finals, winning Finals MVPs in all of those series, being the recipient of the Maurice Podoloff Award on 5 different instances, and making 14 appearances in the prestigious All-Star Game, among a long list of other stellar achievements.

Of course, His Airness generated a lot of money during the course of his illustrious career. However, it was pretty evident that the Hall-Of-Famer suited up every night for his love for the sport. This one time, Air Jordan decided to make himself available for the Bulls even when both of his feet were injured.
Michael Jordan had both his feet injured but still played a game
During the 1992-1993 season, Jordan was playing some of the best basketball in the league. The fact that Mike suited up for 78 games that season was even more amazing than the guard averaging 32.6/6.7/5.5.
On March 9th, the leader of the Bulls squad could’ve missed the 5th game of his 9th campaign. The Black Cat had not one but two injuries.
Despite having sustained injuries on both his feet, Jordan decided to suit up. And no, this clash against the Seattle SuperSonics wasn’t an important playoff one. Just a regular season clash that Chicago’s front office could’ve afforded him to miss.
Prior to tip-off, the sideline reporters spoke about MJ’s injuries.
Reporter: “Michael Jordan hurt both feet. One with a foot infection and the other one with a hurt ankle. So before the game today we had a chance to ask Michael ‘hey, let me ask you something, (a) general question, how (are) you feeling?’”
MJ: “I’m feeling good. I mean I’m gonna play. Meaning that I’m on the basketball court, I’m at a 100%. Has to have some little pain with it but nothing major that can keep me out of this game.”

Jordan scored 38 points vs SuperSonic with injured feet
In the same bout against Shawn Kemp and co., Jordan ended up playing a game-high 41 minutes.
With injured feet, the shooting guard went on to record 38 points, 9 assists, 6 steals, and 4 rebounds. Further, Jordan shot the ball at an efficient 53.6% from the field and only had 2 turnovers.
Michael’s dedication is something that is yet to be replicated by any player. Part of the reason why MJ is leading the GOAT title argument is the passion he approached every game with. Do you think any modern NBA player is made of the same mold as MJ?
