Is Chris Paul injured? Suns star suffered hard fall in Game 1 vs Lakers and grabbed his shoulder

Phoenix Suns star guard Chris Paul(shoulder) has been listed as questionable for Game 4 against the Lakers in Staples Center

The Los Angeles Lakers have broken all shackles that were holding them down. The last remaining part of their destruction machine was getting LeBron James‘ offense back. In Games 1 and 2, LBJ was making plays for others, but not taking charge on his own. The narrative shifted in Game 3. Jae Crowder may have had a hand in the same. He liked a post dismissing the Lakers’ bubble title, and that must have surely motivated the King to show up.

The Lakers are now up 2-1 in the series. The Suns, despite being the higher-seeded team, were never the favorites to take down the defending champions. To make matters worse, Chris Paul suffered a shoulder injury in Game 2, which has been bothering him since. Without the veteran experience of CP3 on the floor, the young Suns team does not look the same.

Is Chris Paul playing tonight?

The veteran point guard has been suffering from pain in his shoulder ever since Game 2. He has been on a minutes restriction because of the same as well. The Suns’ head coach Monty Williams said that Paul was given full rest from practice yesterday. Hopefully, the extra rest would do the experienced campaigner some good.

At the same time, the Suns have downgraded Chris Paul to ‘questionable’ status for Game 4.

It is very unlikely for Paul to not play in Game 4 though. If Game 4 goes away from the Suns, the Lakers would hold a 3-1 lead. Even though we have seen teams come back from a 3-1 lead multiple times in the past years, however, it is still easier said than done. Chris Paul would be needed on the floor if the Suns hope to take down LeBron James and the Lakers at Staples Center. Game 4 tips off at 3.30 PM ET.
