The Phoenix Suns, despite having some of the best offensive stars the NBA has to offer, have been outplayed by Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. While the All-Star duo of Devin Booker and Kevin Durant have been going off for some historic performances, the Arizona-based franchise has definitely been missing out on the services of Chris Paul. Having sustained an injury, CP3’s availability for Game 6 is on every PHX fan’s mind.

During Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals, the Point God suffered a left groin injury. The 6-foot pass-first star leaped to secure a rebound and would eventually limp on the court before straight heading to the locker room.
After Monty Williams’ boys won Games 3 & 4 without their leader, they were handed a 16-point Game 5 loss. With their backs against the wall, Paul’s chances of suiting up for Game 6 will be the big question.
Chris Paul will sit out for the Game 6 clash against the Nuggets
As reported by PHNX Sports’ Gerald Bourguet, the franchise will be sidelined against the Colorado-based franchise.
Apart from Chris sitting out for Game 6, Deandre Ayton has also been placed on the team’s injury report. Having sustained a rib contusion, the 7-footer is listed as “questionable”.

With the potential absence of CP3 as well as Ayton, it is expected of Booker and KD to once again carry the team’s offensive load.
The lackluster performances by the likes of Josh Okogie, Cameron Payne, and other rotational players have been a cause of concern all series long. However, the remaining members on the Suns’ roster will need to contribute more effectively in order to prevent Mike Malone’s boys from winning Game 6 at the Footprint Center.
CP3’s performance so far in the postseason
With D-Book and the Slim Reaper erupting for scoring rampages on a nightly basis, Paul’s display has not been highlighted.
After recording 13.6 points and 8.2 assists in the first-round battle against the Los Angeles Clippers, the 38-year-old only put up 9.5 points on 42.9% shooting in the first two games of the WCSF.
Paul has had a long list of horrific injuries sustained in the playoffs. It will be extremely unfortunate if his injuries become yet another reason for him not winning a title yet.
