Amidst all of the drama between Mikal Bridges and Deandre Ayton to go along with HC Monty Williams not meshing with Ayton, Devin Booker has been the brightest spot for the Phoenix Suns this season. Add on the fact that Chris Paul does not look like CP3 yet and Booker playing at the level he currently is what’s keeping them afloat.
The Suns are 19-14 and 4th in the Western Conference going into their game against the Denver Nuggets this 2022 Christmas. Teams with the biggest stars get games on Christmas but unfortunately for the Suns, they might miss out on showcasing Book’s offensive brilliance tonight.
This is because he has been out due to a groin injury for several games now. He played 26 straight games to start the 2022-23 campaign off but would miss 2 games due to a hamstring strain. He then came back and the last game he played was when he had a monster 58-point night against the Pelicans.
Will Devin Booker play tonight following his groin injury?
Devin Booker has been out for 3 games now, with the Suns losing their last 2. He’s been out due to groin soreness and was listed out for all 3 games. Going into tonight’s bout between the Nuggets and Suns, the latter has received a ray of hope in the form of a slightly more promising injury update.
It has been reported that Booker has been upgraded from ‘OUT’ to ‘questionable’ in regards to his groin soreness. ‘Questionable’ usually results in a 50% chance that the player plays on that day.
Devin Booker has been upgraded to questionable for tomorrow’s Suns game against the Nuggets. Cam Payne, Jae Crowder and Cam Johnson remain out.

However, with this being a nationally televised Christmas Day game and Phoenix on a 2-game slide, expect to see the All-Star shooting guard try his best to suit up for the game and even warm-up on NBA hardwood prior to the game to feel out his injury.
How has Devin Booker played this season?
Devin Booker is playing the best brand of basketball of his entire career this 2022-23 season. He’s averaging 28 points a game on 47.7% shooting from the field and is back to dishing out close to 6 assists a game.
Booker has proven these last few years that he wasn’t a good stats, bad team kind of player as he has been putting up career highs while on a team contending for a championship.
