6′ 8″ Jayson Tatum Rocks a Kobe Bryant x Michael Jordan ‘Custom Jacket’ Before Facing NBA’s Best
Jayson Tatum is here to prove a point this season. The frontrunner for the MVP race showed up wearing a jacket that signifies he means business. A print of Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan facing off against each other, ahead of a game against the best team in the Western Conference- the subtle message could not be clearer.
We are well aware of the relationship between Bryant and Tatum. Kobe was Jayson’s idol. And last year in the playoffs, he even texted his number to let him know that he won’t fail him. Jayson’s 6’8″ frame allows him to emulate a game that closely resembles Bryant.
Bryant might be gone but his spirit lives on through players that wish to emulate his career. These guys include Jayson Tatum and Devin Booker.
And both of them face off tonight. Tatum walked into the Footprint Center rocking a jacket that pays homage to greats but is also a very subliminal message to Booker.

Jayson Tatum is ready to take the throne
Leading the race for MVP and sitting atop the KIA MVP ladder for the last week, Jayson Tatum means business this season. The Celtics have a league-best 20-5 record and Jayson is averaging 30,8 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.
But today is not about stats, it is about bragging rights. He is rocking a ‘custom jacket’ that features Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan facing off against each other. 1 vs 2. What could it mean?

For context, the Phoenix Suns are no.1 in the West, so it could mean that Jayson is throwing down the gauntlet to the best team in the West.
It could also be a subtle hint to Devin Booker signaling that Jayson is the real no.1 here not him.

It will be an exciting match-up. No.1 vs No.1. And Jayson has been in great form this season. Just the last game, he hit 5 threes, put up 31, and grabbed 12 boards. Not only that his team is working like a well-oiled unit.
Jayson Tatum’s last game: 31 PTS, 12 REB, 5 3PT ☘️
Will he do it again vs the #1 seed in the west Phoenix?
