Is Joel Embiid Hurt?: 76ers MVP Sends Worries Down the Spine of Fans in Game 3 Against the Boston Celtics
Joel Embiid has been playing very well so far in Game 3 against the Boston Celtics. While he hasn’t quite been able to impose his will onto this match as many were hoping, that kind of thing is near-impossible considering these are the playoffs, and their opponents are Jayson Tatum and his team. Still, his drop in play quality, and his little gimps while walking during the most recent game has led many to wonder about Joel Embiid’s health. Is Joel Embiid hurt? Or is he simply still on the road to recovery?
Joel Embiid is not hurt
Earlier, Joel Embiid suffered an LCL sprain in his knee, which caused to miss a few games in these playoffs. Admittedly, there is a chance that Joel Embiid was forced to come back a bit earlier than what was ideal from such an injury. But then again, this is the postseason. It is the time of year stars are known to risk everything to win.
no restrictions.

Setting that aside though, while Joel Embiid has not recovered from his injury completely, he has not re-aggravated it either. Further, he is playing without a minutes restriction for the 76ers, meaning that he has healed up to an extent that Philadelphia at least feels somewhat confident about playing him tonight.
Did Embiid just hurt his hand slapping it on the floor?

Further, regarding worries about the man having hurt his hand while slamming it on the floor, the fact that he has continued playing ensures that the pain was from nothing but the impact of the action itself. Nothing more.
On a slightly bleaker note though, it is yet to be seen if that translated to a win for the Philadelphia 76ers. After all, they have trailed the Boston Celtics for just about the entirety of this game. And as both teams enter the 4th quarter, it is the Irishmen that have some serious momentum behind them. Good luck to the MVP.
