Is Joel Embiid Playing Today vs Celtics?: 76ers Star's Injury Status Ahead of Game 7 Comes Back Positive

Joel Embiid and the 76ers have so far lived up to all their billing, which is good given that being in the East is no easy task. Add the fact that this franchise survived being without its biggest star due to a knee injury, and their run only gets more impressive. That said, Embiid has not healed up just yet, raising serious questions about his availability for today’s contest.

Joel Embiid sprained an LCL in his knee earlier in the playoffs, leading to a myriad of concerns about the man’s health. And considering that it is not an ailment that he has recovered from, but rather one that he is playing through, it becomes easy to wonder about his health ahead of this win or go home Game 7. With all that said, what is Joel Embiid’s injury status at the moment?

What is Joel Embiid’s injury status at the moment?

Fortunately for the Philadelphia 76ers, so far Joel Embiid has had little to no problems playing through his knee injury. And as per ESPN, that will continue to be the case for tonight’s game 7 against Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics. In fact, the big man hasn’t even been featured on the latest Injury Report by the franchise.

So, simply put, Philly fans have nothing to worry about. Joel Embiid is ready and raring to go for today’s game 7. However, will his effort be enough for the 76ers to reach the Eastern Conference Finals? Only time will tell.

What were Joel Embiid’s stats in game 6 against the Boston Celtics?

In 41 minutes, Joel Embiid put up 26 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 3 blocks. Additionally, he shot 47.4% from the field, 0 of 2 from beyond the arc, and 100% from the charity stripe.
