Is Julius Randle Playing Today vs Cavaliers?: Knicks Star's Injury Report Comes Back Glowing Ahead of Game 3 Against Donovan Mitchell

The New York Knicks have looked beyond commanding so far against the Cavaliers. And Julius Randle is beyond a big reason for it. You see, the franchise star has combined almost unexpectedly well with new acquisition, Jalen Brunson. And now, the franchise leads the sleeper favorites out of the East by 2 games to 1.

That said, it wouldn’t take a lot for this momentum to come crumbling down. At the end of the day, injuries are beyond common in today’s NBA. And so, it is important to keep an eye on the status of any given franchise star’s health.

And so, with that in mind, will Julius Randle be healthy enough to compete again with Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers for the early game today? Or will he be forced to watch his teammates from the sidelines on this one?

What is Julius Randle’s health status ahead of today’s game against the Cavaliers?

Julius Randle struggled with an ankle injury at the end of the regular season, forcing him to miss the franchise’s last 5 games before the NBA playoffs. And even after recovering from it, the player did admit that he felt a bit rusty and uncomfortable while playing basketball.

This alone had raised some fears of possible reaggravation of his prior ankle injury. However, so far, there is only good news to report on the matter. ESPN’s log of the franchise’s injury list does not contain Julius Randle’s name.

In fact, the Knicks star has been reported to be feeling the best he has felt in some time now. So, simply put, not only is Randle healthy, but he is also raring to go against Donovan Mitchell and his Cleveland Cavaliers today.

What did Julius Randle record in game 3 against the Cleveland Cavaliers?

During game 3 against the Cavaliers, Julius Randle did not have the best of games, despite the Knicks winning this one with a score of 99-79. In 33 minutes, he recorded 11 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal. He shot just 20% from both the field and from three-point range.
