‘Is LeBron James playing tonight’ has been trending all over ever since news broke out of his groin injury. Lakers have released a statement.
LeBron James has been nursing a groin injury in the NBA Bubble, something that has forced him to not be able to perform at the highest level.
Rumors suggested that the groin injury was getting a little serious. Lakers have now released a statement.
Is LeBron James playing tonight?
Los Angeles Lakers have announced that Three-time NBA champion LeBron James will not be available for tonight’s game vs Rockets as he is recovering from a sore right groin. According to ESPN’s NBA insider Dave McMenamin, LeBron will miss the match.

Davis- sprained right ankle- PROBABLE
Morris-left hip contusion – PROBABLE
Caldwell-Pope- right ribs contusion -PROBABLE
Howard- sore right knee – PROBABLE
Caruso-left neck muscle spasms – QUESTIONABLE

In 2018 season LeBron suffered from a torn left Groin, besides that James has not been in news for injury. The big man has scored 61 points, 29 rebounds, and 18 assists in the opening three seeding games of the NBA restart.
With the number 1 seed already in the bag, it is only normal for the Lakers not risk their main man ahead of the NBA playoffs.
The groin injury could also be a reason for LeBron’s poor offensive displays in the bubble. However, it is not clear as to if the was playing through the injury in the loss vs Thunder.
Alex Caruso has also been listed as questionable and may not feature tonight too.
LeBron and Lakers in NBA Bubble restart
Lakers have two wins and two defeat in their season restart. They opened thier campaign with a win against Clippers (103-101). Then they fall short to Defending champions Toronto Raptors by 92-107.
The side was back on winning track in the third game against Utah Jazz (116-108) and finally, in the fourth encounter of the season restart, Oklahoma City Thunder buried Lakers 86-105.

LeBron’s Injury is not serious as he is accepted to return soon, but Lakers will not take any chance with him and will provide him the necessary rest ahead of the playoffs.
