LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have been on a roll to start their 2020-21 NBA campaign. With losses coming at the hands of the Portland TrailBlazers and their in-city rivals the Los Angeles Clippers, the Lakers have handily beat every other team.
They sit atop the Western Conference with a current 6-2 record, going into tonight’s game against the San Antonio Spurs. This will be the 3rd meeting between the Spurs and the Lakeshow, with LeBron and co. besting them each of those times.
An ongoing storyline for the Los Angeles Lakers has been LeBron James and his left ankle injury. This injury dates back to opening night, as he had rolled his ankle in their bout against the Clippers.
LeBron James is yet to miss a game however, as he has been powering through the injury, while leading the Lakers to their current record.
Will LeBron James play tonight and what is his status?
The reigning Finals MVP has been listed as either questionable or probable going into each game of this season. However, he has still suited up for NBA action on each of those nights.
Tonight against the Spurs is no different. LeBron is currently listed as questionable, which usually means there’s a 50-50 chance of him hitting the floor.

LeBron’s play on court hasn’t shown any hint of slowing down. It seems as though the 4x MVP is perfectly healthy each time he takes to the court.
He scored 26 points while shooting 11-20 from the field against the Memphis Grizzlies two nights ago. He also grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out 7 assists in their win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
He even hit the clutch fadeaway elbow jumper on Dillon Brooks to seal the deal for the Lakers. It will be interesting to see if Coach Vogel rolls him out to hopefully duplicate the results.
