Is Stephen Curry Playing Tonight Vs Pistons? Warriors Release Injury Report for 2x MVP
The Golden State Warriors continue to shine at Chase Center. After finishing a six-game road trip where they went 1-5, the Warriors returned home and have gone on a five-game win streak. Despite not having Stephen Curry with them, the team is finding ways to get wins.
They took down the Atlanta Hawks in their last contest, with a 143-141 win in Double Overtime. Klay Thompson stepped up and scored 54 points, and Kevon Looney made the game-winning basket.
The Warriors now have three games left on their eight-game homestand. Along with that, they are also nearing the one-month timeline given for Stephen Curry’s shoulder injury. This has a lot of fans excited, as the Dubs team we see right now is leaps ahead of what it was when Curry and Andrew Wiggins were active.
However, the biggest question fans have right now is whether Steph is playing tonight or not.

Stephen Curry will NOT play tonight
Recovering from a shoulder injury, Steph has made good progress and is back to on-court activities. Last week, Steve Kerr gave an update about the same and said,
Steve Kerr just gave @DamonAndRatto a Steph Curry injury update:
“He’s been doing a lot of stuff on the court. He’s getting a lot of good work in. He’s really coming along well and everything is progressing.”

This fits perfectly with his timeline to return in mid to late January. Seeing the Warriors find their way without Curry might give the team’s staff just the little bit of extra motivation to give Steph some added rest.
Along with Steph, multiple other guys are also missing tonight’s game.
Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, James Wiseman and JaMychal Green all remain out for the Warriors tomorrow against the Pistons.

It would be a challenge for the team, but so far, this homestand has given them an added advantage to face these challenges. They’d hope to keep their streak alive and extend it to six against the Pistons.
How far can the Warriors go this season?
From what we’ve seen in the last week, the Warriors are finally figuring out solutions to the problems. Their young guys are finding ways to be productive. Klay Thompson has found his scoring again. Jordan Poole has been brilliant. Draymond Green is a beast defensively.
When Steph returns and if he picks up the same pace where he left off, the Dubs actually have a shot at defending their title. As long as the team manages to stay away from injuries, come April, it’s the others who have to take down the defending champions, and not the other way around.
