“It’s Basically A One-Night Stand”: Skip Bayless Disregards Jimmy Butler’s Heat And Makes A ‘Sleazy’ Comment Favoring Celtics’ Chances
With the Celtics not allowing Jimmy Butler and the Heat to wrap up the series in Game 4, Jayson Tatum and co. have suddenly ignited several enthusiasts to favor them to win Game 5 as well. Shockingly, even though Skip Bayless has picked the Cs to grab the victory in tonight’s game, the analyst made a rather sleazy comment, comparing Boston’s Game 4 win to a “one-night stand”.
With the series returning back to Massachusetts, the Celtics have the momentum on their side. Despite the #2 Eastern Conference franchise’s awful 4-5 record at home during this postseason, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown must find a way to keep their championship dreams alive.
Bayless, and many others, believe that their “nothing to lose” mentality since before Game 4 is enough to ignite the spark in the Celtics’ players.
“Was Game 4 just a one-night stand for the Celtics?”: Skip Bayless amkes
Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless spoke about the outcome of Game 5 on their latest episode of “UNDISPUTED”. Similar to what the former NFL star thinks, even Bayless has predicted the series score to be 3-2 after tonight.
While going on a passionate rant about the same topic, Skip had a rather questionable comparison – drawing similarities between the Celtics’ Game 4 win and a “one-night stand”. However, according to the 71-year-old, the success from the previous game will be replicated and it won’t just be a “one-night stand”.
“The question at hand is – was Game 4 in Miami basically just a one-night stand for the Celtics? It was a one last hoorah to say ‘okay we have enough pride left, we’re gonna show you that we can at least do that’. I don’t believe that happened. I believe they can carry that momentum into Game 5 at home because they are just clearly the better team.”
As if backing them to win tonight wasn’t enough, Bayless even predicted the scoreline for the bout. Stating that the Florida-based franchise will be embarrassed, he estimated the Celtics to win by 20 points.
“Tonight will once again be the Celtics’ night. I believe they will flex tonight at home. I think they are going to win big, I think it’ll be 112-92.”

Can Jimmy Butler and Co. prove Bayless wrong?
Jimmy Butler has played near perfectly throughout the playoff run. However, he did receive valuable contributions from his teammates. Especially Gabe Vincent.
After the All-Star duo of Butler and Ban Adebayo, Vincent has been the team’s third-highest scorer and their 2nd scoring option during the Conference Finals. However, the undrafted guard will not be suiting up for Game 5. Averaging 17.5 points in the series against the Cs, Gabe’s absence will truly be impactful.
While Boston seem much more confident, Butler didn’t seem to be much bothered by their first loss of the series.
“We’re gonna listen to some music. We’re gonna drink some beers. … We’re gonna smile, we’re gonna be in this thing together. … And we’re gonna go get one on the road.”

We can expect the two teams to produce an entertaining thriller with the TD Garden cheering on the Celtics to keep their season alive.
