“It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye”: ‘Emotional’ Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley And TNT Bid Farewell As Heat Win Game 7

It wasn’t just the Boston Celtics fans who were emotional after Miami Heat knocked them out to go through to the NBA Finals. Sentiments also got better of the fans of Inside the NBA which features NBA Hall of Fames Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley, 2x NBA champ Kenny ‘the Jet’ Smith, and the legendary Ernie Johnson. We got to see more and more of the NBA on TNT crew as the Cs pushed it to Game 7 despite losing the first three games of the series.

Jayson Tatum and Co were just a step away from being the first team ever in NBA history to win a Playoffs series, coming back from a 3-0 deficit. However, they became the 151st team, not to do so.

The Celtics looked pretty lifeless from the starting whistle and by halftime, Chuck knew it was over. He called them “dumba**es” for taking the series this far just to give this type of performance in front of their home crowd.

However, Chuckster’s head probably hurt because he was expecting a vacation after Game 4.

Fans and TNT crew exchange emotional farewell as Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and others go on vacation

ABC network of the Disney Entertainment division will be telecasting the 2023 NBA Finals, so the Heat-Celtics series was the last we saw of Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, and the rest of the TNT crew.

It was a night of mixed emotions for the TNT crew who were confused, about whether to be happy about their upcoming vacation or sad about not getting the opportunity to cover the Finals and be among their loving fans.

The fans were emotional about it and so was Inside the NBA team, as Shaq and Kenny sang in their not-so-melodious voices, “It’s so hard, to say goodbye, to TNT.” Watch it in the following Tweet by NBA on TNT.

Like every other season, they had several memorable moments this season. Right from the beginning, we had some hysterical Shaq-laughters and his paper-crumbling on something Chuck said or did, to some hilarious courtside banters of the crew with each other, some celebrities, and the NBA community. Enjoy it in the following clip by NBA on TNT.

It was time for the most entertaining sports show crew to take some time off and get themselves recharged with some vitamin D for the next season.

Chuck wasn’t the only one waiting for a break

Shaquille O’Neal was literally annoyed by every game Miami Heat lost after getting a 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Big Aristotle said so to Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams on The Big Podcast as Jimmy Butler’s team kept on postponing his trip to Bahamas.

With enough time to enjoy their vacations now, we hope this Inside the NBA crew comes back with a bang for the next season, as they have been doing for almost a quarter of a century.
