“I’m So Mad”: Despite Earning $10,000,000, ‘Frustrated’ Shaquille O’Neal Berates Heat For Tanking His Bahamas Vacation Plan

The Eastern Conference Finals should have been a wrap by now, but the Boston Celtics have taken the last two games after going down 0-3. This has not sat well with Shaquille O’Neal, favoring the Miami Heat to reach the finals. To make things worse, every Celtics win is delaying Shaq’s vacation. Despite making $10,000,000 (10 million) in salary, Shaq is unhappy about it.

O’Neal has played for both teams in his career, but he has a soft spot for Miami, where he won an NBA championship in 2006. Sure, he played for the Celtics too, but that year was more of a farewell tour, and Shaq hung up his boots post that season. Hence, the big man would hate to see the Heat let the series slip. Instead, he would be hoping they close it out at home in Game 6.

Miami Heat has delayed Shaquille O’Neal’s vacation

Shaquille O’Neal was supposed to be in the Bahamas by now, lying on the beach with his shirt off. But as things would have it, he still has to appear on ‘NBA on TNT‘ and provide analysis with the rest of the crew. While appearing on his podcast, ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq‘, he expressed his frustration with his plans being delayed. Here is what he said:

“But, yes I am so mad they didn’t win last night, because I already had my passport and my pina colada and everything ready. I was gonna wake up this morning and put that Beijing (beard) back in and go straight to the Bahamas.”

As TNT doesn’t cover the NBA finals, the Eastern Conference Finals’ is where the season ends for them. Easily one of the best sports shows on television, the crew of Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley, and Ernie Johnson will be available to break down Game 6 of the series on Saturday night.

Shaquille O’Neal in trouble due to FTX

Shaq actively invests in franchises, real estate, startups, and stocks and has a diversified portfolio. Usually smart about his collaboration, he has landed himself in trouble after appearing as a spokesperson for the cryptocurrency trading platform – FTX. The lawyers have named him in a legal case for knowingly defrauding the investors.

The big man has been trying to dodge getting served by the lawyers by evading them for months. However, they finally got a hold of him, and Shaq could not get away from it. He hinted the same when Steph Curry appeared as a guest on the show. In a subtle jab at the Warriors’ superstar, he called him out for getting him into trouble, as it was on Steph’s insistence that Shaq agreed to be a part of FTX. Read all about it here.
