The Warriors are back in business and how!! With Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green rearing to go next season, the Dubs have been busy finding another star to complement their three stars.
With a number two draft pick in the 2020 draft, the Dubs have a great chance to make a trade for a superstar. With 76ers imploding in the absence of Simmons in the playoffs, the Warriors will surely circle around them to snatch away one of their two all-stars.

Now, Warriors legend Chris Mullin has stated that he would prefer Joel Embiid over Ben Simmons to join the formidable trio of Curry, Klay and Green next season.
Joel Embiid to Warriors?
Chris Mullin stated that Embiid’s presence in the paint should complement the styles of the Splash Brothers. Embiid can force the issue in the paint if needed and Mullin believes it will be better for the Warriors than signing Simmons who recently started playing as a power forward before suffering a season ending injury.
“I’d go Embiid. I love Simmons but I just feel like with the way that Steve plays, he still likes to establish inside-out. I love small ball, but I still want some big guys. I want some physicality, I want some pressure on the rim, and on a given night when I’m struggling in Game 6 on the road, can I throw it down to someone just to get a foul and stop the bleeding.”

The Warriors have the greatest shooting back-court in the history of the league in Curry and Thompson. Steph Curry is arguably the best shooter in the history of the league while Klay is one of the best two-way players in the league right now. With Green backing them up on the defensive end and a potential addition of Embiid will surely make them the overwhelming favorites to win the title back next season.
With the Sixers all but out in the first round of the playoffs this year, their front office will be looking to change things up. However, with Simmons out of the playoffs, the organisation hasn’t really been able to see how Embiid and Simmons would have featured together in the playoffs this season. Thus, they might be tempted to give the duo another go, but a lucrative offer from the Warriors could make them think differently.
Moreover, Embiid has just signed with Under Armour, with Curry also welcoming him with a great ‘Embiid mimic’ video.
The Dubs made 5 consecutive finals from 2015-2019, winning three titles during that run. The Dubs were inarguably the best team last decade and will surely look to take back the bragging rights next season after seeing the teams from LA storming ahead of the chasing pack this season.
