Since the last season, Jordan Poole has blown up. He is quickly becoming a youngster worthy of all the praise. In Stephen Curry’s absence, he has taken over as the primary scorer and is quickly becoming a key asset for their future. If he can continue on this path, Jordan could become a sensational star.

Steve Kerr believes Jordan Poole can reach greater heights
The Warriors finally won their 19th game of the season. They are now 16-2 at home, their dominance continues. However, it would have likely not been possible without Poole’s clutch performance. He exploded for 41 points against Portland and lead the team to a 118-112 win.
The 23-year old star played 36 minutes and had 5 rebounds and 6 assists. He shot over 60% from the field and converted 14 of his 23 attempts. Jordan also made 5 of his 10 threes in the game.
After the match, 4-time title winning coach Seve Kerr praised Jordan Poole in the post game conference. He confessed he has high hopes for the youngster and he regularly works closely with Poole to guide him towards evolution.
Steve Kerr: “I’m so excited about Jordan because he has another level he can reach. When you think about that, he has been awfully good for a couple of years now. When you think about what that can look like, that next level, it’s exciting. So that’s what we talk about everyday, we watch films, we discuss what he can improve on.”

Can Poole evolve into a certified star?
Knowing that he is just in his fourth season, it’s definitely clear that Jordan Poole is at cusp of his next evolution. If he can make that leap, he might become the new face of the franchise in the near future. With Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green getting older, the Dubs need a young core that can take over upon their retirement.
Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins are already proving to be that new core. Kuminga and Wiseman seem promising but they need to perform consistently at a high level to even be considered. Poole has the perfect opportunity to show up. Until Stephen Curry returns, if he can do this consistently, he will be a certified star.
The Warriors have already proven their trust in him. The 4-year, $123 million extension is a confession of their plans for the future.
