The Los Angeles Clippers faced off against the Golden State Warriors last night. Both the Clippers and Warriors looked to build on the momentum they were building up in the past few games.
The Warriors beat both the TrailBlazers and the Kings quite handily, while the Clippers were a solid 5-3 going into tonight. The Warriors put up a fight until two Nic Batum 3s from the corner late in the 4th sealed the deal for the Clips.
Kawhi Leonard is still required to wear a protective mask during play as a result of teammate Serge Ibaka elbowing his face, causing his to receive 8 stitches. He led the way for LA last night as he notched 21 points on 7-12 shooting from the field.
It seems as though Kawhi Leonard can’t catch a break in regards to getting injured on the court, as he had another scary incident happen to him, at the hands of Draymond Green.
Draymond Green collides with Kawhi Leonard and Leonard wasn’t having it
Draymond Green returned to play for the Warriors in their loss against the Blazers about a week ago. The over enthused Green hasn’t played professional NBA basketball since the league shut down in March of last year.
So in an effort to stop Kawhi from getting an easy dunk, Green met him at the rim. This caused the two to collide mid-air and fall to the hardwood. Green was immediately apologetic but Kawhi Leonard didn’t want to hear any of it.

A foul like that could have severe repercussions, if they were to land awkwardly. The foul was deemed a Flagrant 1, rightfully so.
The former DPOY isn’t filling up the stat sheet. But his mere presence on the court as a defensive anchor and facilitator changes the dynamic of this team. He seems to have built up a decent chemistry with the Warriors’ bigs early on as well – a great sign.
