“Keion Henderson Is The First Man To Propose To Me”: Shaquille O’Neal’s Ex-Wife, Shaunie Henderson, Reveals Truth Over Second Marriage

Shaquille O’Neal has admitted many times over that he has committed mistakes in his personal life in the past. A lot of what he has done in his life, mainly during his relationship with Shaunie Henderson, has been swept under the rug due to Shaq’s overwhelmingly positive personality. 

However, it should be noted that the Lakers legend consistently indulged in extramarital relationships while with Shaunie. He has since come clean about it, even calling himself a ‘serial cheater’ when talking about the recent Adam Levine situation. 

Both Shaunie and Shaq met after the latter made his way to the Los Angeles Lakers from the Orlando Magic and hit it off almost immediately. They would get married in 2002 but would eventually get divorced half a decade later in 2007 due to the aforementioned reasons, as O’Neal seemed incapable at the time of holding a monogamous relationship.

Shaunie Henderson talks about Keion Henderson being the only man to have proposed to her 

After having detached herself from Shaquille O’Neal, Shaunie has found love once again in the form of Keion Henderson. Their love life was highly publicized due to the fact that Shaunie is a reality TV star. The two would eventually get married and actually send out an invitation to Shaq to attend the wedding, though he would not turn up. 

During an interview with her husband, Shaunie admitted that Keion was the first man to have proposed to her, saying, “Never. No. I never got a proposal. I thought we were at his friend’s birthday dinner and then he started talking about love and I’m like, ‘Why are you doing this?’” 

Given the fact that Shaq was married to Shaunie, it’s quite surprising to hear this. Though, what Shaunie meant by this was that she never got a traditional proposal where a man bends down on one knee and puts a ring on her finger. The way the Lakers legend did it back in the early 2000s must’ve been a bit different than that. 

Shaq’s kids have accepted Keion Henderson 

Shaunie Henderson revealed quite the heartwarming detail about her children and that her kids are actually quite accepting of her new husband. She said that her kids even have a group chat with Keion Henderson and are very fond of him. 

Her 3 sons, Myles, Shaqir, and Shareef handed her off to Keion as well as a sign of respect and acceptance during their wedding as well.
