“Kevin Durant and James Harden can drop 50 points if you’re not locked in”: Giannis Antetokounmpo provides first-hand account of how scary the Nets are
Giannis Antetokounpo details how difficult it can be to beat the Brooklyn Nets with Kevin Durant and James Harden.
The two-time league MVP and reigning DPOY is not one to shy away from a challenge. However, it seems as if the Nets have successfully scared one of the league’s most successful players. The Harden-KD Nets narrowly edged out the Bucks 125-123 thanks to some clutch shooting from Durant.
Harden and Durant had yet another stellar outing with both putting up a combined 64 points. Additionally, they managed to share the ball well and accounted for more than half of the team’s assists. During his post-game interview, Giannis sent out a warning to the league and stated that Harden and KD will score 30 points each with ease.
Giannis on Harden & KD: “If you’re not locked in against them, they’re going to score 50.”

Are we witnessing the creation of a new dynasty around Kevin Durant?
The Nets seem to have found the winning formula after their recent acquisition of James Harden. Despite many analysts on the fence about the team, they seem to outperform expectations routinely. That being said people are still doubtful as to whether adding Kyrie to the mix will ruin what they have currently.
Kyrie has been missing for over two weeks because he wanted some time off. In that time the Nets have only lost two games and have been performing at a high level. What is more impressive is the fact that they are doing so with absolutely no depth and very little defensive abilities.
The Nets have currently emerged as legitimate title contenders and they are possibly the only team that can currently beat the Lakers. Time will tell whether they will be able to outscore the Lakers consistently in a seven-game series. However, even if they don’t this team has a two-year window before anyone should definitively declare them as a bust.
