“Kevin Durant wants to win 3 championships with Brooklyn Nets”: Nets star blasts Jackie MacMullan for attributing fake quotes to him
Kevin Durant has been under siege lately with all sorts of comments directed at him. Durant blasted Jackie MacMullan for attributing a fake quote to him.
Jackie is an American sportswriter who has covered the NBA for a very long time. One of her recent ventures took place on “The Bill Simmons Podcast” where she spoke about Durant’s long term goals in Brooklyn. In the podcast she mentioned that Durant wants to win somewhere in the realm of 3 championships with the Nets.

However, Kevin Durant has made no indication that this is actually his motive. The Nets superstar does not like fake quotes being attributed to him at all, even if they may be about something positive like his drive to win multiple rings.
Kevin Durant Calls Out Jackie MacMullan For Spreading False Reports About Him
Durant was very quick to reply to MacMullan’s segment on the podcast. He had no intentions whatsoever of being attributed with those quotes:
Once again, I don’t even talk like this…plus I don’t have a relationship with Jackie for us to have in depth conversations about my intentions as a basketball player. I get she plays an opinion based sport but she framed this like we are friends. We are not.. https://t.co/0D2GszSwhA

Yikes. That was an absolutely lethal serving by one of the game’s greatest currently. Durant and the Nets are sure to be in title contention for the foreseeable future. The team looked formidable on the court together, but the problem was that they weren’t on the court together very much at all.
Injuries kept at least one of their big three out for majority of the season, and then in the playoffs disaster struck after an almost perfect first round.
Harden would go down with a hamstring injury in game one. Yet, the Nets were still able to take a 2-0 series lead. After that, the wheels really fell off the wagon when Kyrie Irving went down with an ankle sprain.
Harden was forced to play on a sore hamstring, and the injuries finally caught up to Brooklyn as fatigue took over Kevin Durant. They dropped a gut-wrenching game seven in overtime to the Milwaukee Bucks. However, they’ll be back for sure.
This Nets team was constructed to win at least one ring if not many. Brooklyn is still looking for the franchise’s first NBA title ever and they’ve never been in a better position to win it. With Durant at the helm, they may end up winning those three titles after all.
