“Kwame Brown should be mad at Michael Jordan, not me”: Matt Barnes responds to former Lakers forward’s diss video
Matt Barnes seems to have accepted defeat in a pure battle of words with Kwame Brown, but he had a parting shot for the former Lakers forward.
A response from Kwame Brown regarding all that’s been talked about him was bound to come at some point of time. This is a man who’s been a subject of memes since the concept of memes came about.
Kwame was ultimately ticked off when two of his former teammates began talking about him on ‘All the Smoke’. Stephen Jackson and Gilbert Arenas spent a good bit of time trying to quantify Kwame’s troubles on the podcast.
But there were a couple of things about the way they said all this that definitely hit the wrong nerves. Kwame came out swinging once he heard about how he was described as a ‘man-child’ by Arenas, though it was to make the point that he was simply a youngster struggling in the NBA.
Matt Barnes replies to Kwame Brown about his hourlong video
Barnes took exception to being called out by Kwame despite not saying anything negative about Kwame. He released a short reply to try and set the record straight, where he said:
“I was confused because I never said nothing about that dude. Coming from us or coming from you I think you’ve been looking for attention, that’s all you’ve been searching for.”
“Bro you’ve been getting made fun of since you came in the league for not living up to expectations. People laugh and joke about you all the time. Me? I didn’t do that. Never laughed, never joked, cuz I don’t talk about people like that.”
“Me tapping somebody’s knee, that’s what got you mad? You need a hug, bro. Before all this s*** even got moving around, once I heard you were talking s***, I DM’d you like a man.”
“But you chose to ignore that. If you wanna be mad at anybody, be mad at MJ for picking you #1. I didn’t do that. I don’t know you, I never talked about you. It is what it is.”
