“LeBron James acted like he wants that Oscar”: NBA warns Lakers MVP over his flopping antics against Ja Morant and the Grizzlies and the internet reacts

LeBron James flops against the Memphis Grizzlies and the NBA isn’t too happy about it; sending the Lakers’ Finals MVP a warning.

The Los Angeles Lakers faced off against the Memphis Grizzlies last night in a game that featured the Lakers crawling back from down 20 in merely the 1st quarter, to winning comfortably by 10 points, 115-105.

LeBron James continued his case for regular-season MVP as he flirted with a triple-double, notching 28 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. He even had an incredible 30 second moment, towards the end of the 3rd quarter where he scored 7 straight points.

Though this performance is noteworthy, it wasn’t his stat line that made headlines. A moment in the second quarter involving LeBron James and Dillon Brooks is what set the internet ablaze.

LeBron James flops and receives a warning from the NBA

Deep into the second quarter, the Lakers were still giving it their all to inch closer to closing the gap against the Grizzlies. Amidst this, LeBron James decided to produce a moment of pure hilarity against Dillon Brooks.

When in the paint fighting for a rebound, LeBron James had an egregious flop against number 24 on the Grizz which resulted in NBA Twitter blowing up, calling him out on it. James’s ‘alter ego’, LeFlop James seems to have made a return, said folks on social media.

The NBA seems to have become fed up with LeBron James antics and sent him a warning for flopping, hoping to curb it from happening in the future. The ‘King’ has a history of flopping in the league and coincidentally, this isn’t the first time he has flopped on Dillon Brooks. He tried selling a foul on Brooks last season as well.

Dillon Brooks cannot catch a break as Kyle Kuzma later in the ballgame last night, tried flopping on him as well. The refs luckily didn’t call this.
