Lebron James and Anthony Davis Playoff Record: Lakers Duo become first pair to drop 35+ points in NBA Playoff Series after Shaq and Kobe
Lebron James and Anthony Davis torch the Portland Trailblazers for 36 points and 43 points, respectively NBA Playoff Series 2020.
Lebron and Davis were unstoppable on Saturday against the Blazers in Game 5 as Lebron dropped 36 points and Davis dropped 43 points. Both combined for 79 points to lift the Los Angeles Lakers over the Trailblazers who were missing their superstar point guard, Damian Lillard.
This is the first game the Lakers have played since the Lakers and Blazers postponed their Game 5 which was scheduled to take place this past Wednesday.

When was the last time this feat was accomplished?
This is the first time in 18 years that two Lakers players scored 35+ points in the same playoff game, dating back to when Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal dropped 36 points and 35 points, respectively. That was on June 9th, 2002 in Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the New Jersey Nets.

Do the 2 Lakers superstars always have to put up monster stats to win in these Playoffs?
It has been a trend in the regular season and postseason this year that when Lebron James and Anthony Davis play well, the Lakers win most of their games.
Lebron has had the most career playoffs triple doubles in NBA history, including one tonight.

If the 35 year old and 27 year old stay consistent, the Lakers will be favourites to win the title. However, the other Lakers players do need to step up offensively as the Lakers’s road to win it all does not seem easy even in the slightest.
