“ASK ME ABOUT ME”: Chris Paul roared at the Staples Center crowd after hitting a step back jumper in the Suns win against the Lakers
Chris Paul and his Phoenix Suns came out all guns blazing in Game 6 to knock out the reigning NBA Champions Los Angeles Lakers.
The Phoenix Suns have recently eliminated the Los Angeles Lakers after they came out all guns blazing in Game 6. Chris Paul and company won the match 113-100 and are looking like a team that can reach the NBA finals this season.
The Suns have shown massive growth from last season and a lot of credit goes to their talismanic leader Chris Paul. Last season at the bubble the Suns played extremely well winning a bunch of consecutive matches. However, they could only end up finishing in the tenth position in the Western Conference. Hence the inclusion of Chris Paul has been a turning point for Monty Williams’ men.
The experienced point guard may not have had a high scoring series against the Lakers, averaging only 9.2 points per game but it is his playmaking and leadership that makes him an invaluable member of this Suns roster.
In Game 6 as well, he scored only 8 points, but came up with 12 assists. His addition has allowed Devin Booker to play more freely who dropped career high 47 points to knock the Lakers out from the first round.
“ASK ME ABOUT ME,” Chris Paul roared at the crowd at Staples center.
In a match where Devin Booker grabbed all the headlines by delivering a killer performance. CP3 had his part to play aswell. There was one moment during the fourth quarter when the Suns were leading 99-84 with 6:46 left in the clock and Chris Paul came up with a smooth mid range jumper beating Kentavious Caldwell-Pope who was guarding him in that possession.
As the ball nestled in, CP3 was f7ully charged up as he talked trash to the Staples crowd. He roared “ASK ME ABOUT ME!” after getting it right finally in a tough shooting night for the experienced point guard.

The Suns will be up against the fiery Denver Nuggets who have also knocked out the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round. But Monty Williams does have all the tools to fight it out against Nikola Jokic and company and CP3 despite his shooting woes will be pivotal to their success in the postseason.
