‘LeBron James didn’t even try hard to beat you’: Steph Curry puts forth revenge angle after Lakers annihilate Warriors
Warriors’ superstar Stephen Curry talks about how teams in the NBA are still coming after the Warriors
The Golden State Warriors fell short the LeBron James and his Lakers 117-91 tonight. This breaks the three-win streak the Warriors were on. The Warriors could not find a way to grab the boards, and Draymond Green exiting the game with an ankle sprain made matters worse. The Lakers beat the Warriors 60-35 on the boards.
Neither team shot particularly well from the deep, however, the Lakers shot 35%, while the Dubs shot only 23.5%. The Lakers attempted twice as many free-throws and capitalized there. Neither team had a player score over twenty points, but the Lakers had six players score in double digits, compared to the Warriors having three such players.
“Teams are still not done targeting us”: Stephen Curry
The Warriors were THE team to beat in the latter half of the past decade. Going to 5 straight Finals in a row, winning 3 rings in that span, they dominated the league. The 2015-16 Warriors made a record of winning 73 games in a season but lost in the Finals to the Cavs. This pushed them to sign Kevin Durant, and his addition made the Warriors untouchable.
LeBron didn’t even have to try hard during the game but okay LMAO

However, the dream came to an end when the Warriors lost Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson to injuries in the 2019 Finals against the Raptors. Ever since then, KD moved on and joined the Brooklyn Nets. Klay made it through his ACL rehab, but injured his Achilles just before the season started, ruling him out for another season. The 2019-20 season had the Warriors play without their stars and had the worst record in the league. Every team took any revenge their had in mind, but to do so without the stars playing was not the same.
Curry, in his interview post the game tonight, says he still feels the target on their backs. The teams were not satisfied with the wins last year, and still come at the Dubs with their max intensity.
“Teams still want to beat us and beat us bad. They still have a lot of memories from the last five years.” 👀

The Warriors have a 19-16 record, which puts them on the 8th spot in the West. The Warriors would try their best to get to the playoffs this season. They would hope to come back stronger next season with Klay back.
