“LeBron James Is Magic Johnson With Michael Jordan-Like Ability”: Gilbert Arenas Provides Spot-On Player Comparison For the King

Ever since LeBron James set foot into the NBA hardwood, fans have been trying to find the perfect player comparison for the King.

While a majority of analysts and enthusiasts draw parallels from the NBA’s all-time leading scorer to the likes of Elgin Baylor, Oscar Robertson, and Dominique Wilkins, the truth of the matter is that the 4-time Most Valuable Player remains to be a player with one of the most unique skill sets we’ve ever seen.

Apart from being one of the most physical and durable athletes the game has ever seen, standing at 6-foot-9, the Los Angeles Lakers star is among the most versatile players with the rock in his hands.

Despite having a pretty unique game style, Gilbert Arenas had a spot-on comparison for the King.

Gilbert Arenas claims that the King is a mix of Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan

From time to time, people often even compare Bron to Magic and Mike, for his playmaking and scoring abilities, respectively.

On a recent podcast appearance, Gilbert Arenas revealed the perfect player comparison for LBJ – a hybrid of Jordan and Johnson.

Explaining himself, Agent Zero spoke about the 4-time NBA champ being “Magic mentally” and having Jordan’s jumping as well as scoring abilities.

“LeBron was considered Magic Johnson first,” Arenas said. “He’s Magic with Jordan-like ability. So if you ask the question, what’s his gift? Magic mentally, Jordan jumping ability. So when he comes down, and he has this game-winner, and he sees a 3-point shooter open, that’s the Magic. When he averaged 37 points, we want to give him the Jordan title.”

How has LeBron James been fairing in the 2023 Playoffs?

While averaging 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists in the 2022-2023 regular season, LeBron led the Purple & Gold to advance to the postseason clinching the 7th seed in the West.

Making his 16th postseason appearance, the future first-ballot Hall-Of-Famer has already lodged 24.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 4 assists in the first two games of the first-round clash against the Grizzlies.

The King will need to step up and further elevate his game in order to lead the California-based franchise into the second round of the postseason.
