"LeBron James made it clear to Russell Westbrook to keep ego out of it": NBA Insider reveals some massive news about recent interactions between the three Lakers stars

NBA Insider reveals LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook discussed changing positions to fit each other style’s better

As most NBA fans know by now, the Lakers have finally completed their acquisition of Russell Westbrook, giving them a big three including LeBron James and Anthony Davis. If we judged this team-up purely on star power, they would be second to none. However, there are other factors that matter here. And frankly, they don’t paint a very good picture for the franchise.

Saying that the team needs spacing would be the understatement of the century. Even before the arrival of the Brodie, the roster was seriously missing reliable shooters and floor spacers. With the player now on board though, this problem has gone from worrying to frightening.

The players’ fit together and egos have also been something fans have been fearing the worst about. However, according to a recent report, it seems that the three Lakers stars have already worked it all out.

Let’s get into it.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook are reportedly willing to change their positions and styles to accommodate one another

Russell Westbrook getting dealt to the Lakers came as a surprise to just about everyone in the NBA community. But, it seems that the players themselves have been plotting it all for a while now.

According to Broderick Turner from the Los Angeles Times, Westbrook, LeBron James and Anthony Davis met up at the King’s house a whopping two weeks before it all went down. And during this private gathering, it seems the stars reportedly discussed some very interesting things.

Here is what Turner wrote on the matter.

“About two weeks ago, Westbrook went to James’ home, and together they and Davis had a conversation about the All-Star guard joining James and Davis on the Lakers,” wrote Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times.

They talked about putting their egos aside and playing as one in their quest to bring the Lakers another NBA championship. Westbrook talked about how his only intention was winning and coming back home to Los Angeles to become a champion.

James and Davis talked about the two of them changing positions if that was best for the team — James moving from small forward to power forward and Davis from power forward to center.”

The journalist continued.

“Westbrook let James and Davis know he doesn’t mind playing off the ball when James initiates the offense, something he did while playing alongside James Harden with the Houston Rockets.”

These are undeniably some really good signs for the Lakers and their fanbase. But can these three superstars really figure it out? Or will they fall apart when it matters most?

Only time will tell.
