Anthony Davis gets asked about whether he would take Michael Jordan over LeBron James and the Lakers big-man actually answers.
The release of Space Jam: A New Legacy warranted the age-old comparisons between LeBron James and Michael Jordan to once again, ensue all over social media. 1996’s Space Jam is a basketball cult classic and fans claim it’s incredibly difficult to catch lightning in a bottle twice. The initial reviews on James’s newest TinselTown endeavor haven’t been all too great either.

One thing LeBron James has over Michael Jordan in the Space Jam department would be the special effects and CGI in the 2021 sequel. The technological marvel that is Space Jam 2 should be given props to as the 3-D rendering looks quite stunning; everything from the characters in the background to the fur on Bugs Bunny look great alongside LeBron.
However, LeBron James isn’t the only pro basketball superstar in SJ2 as his Lakers teammate Anthony Davis alongside with Blazers superstar, Damian Lillard, are also in the movie. The two play superpowered versions of themselves on the ‘Goon Squad’.
Anthony Davis surprisingly picks Michael Jordan over LeBron James.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis share a great friendship off the court and this clearly contributes to their chemistry on the court. However, during the red carpet premiere for Space Jam 2, a reporter asks Davis a simple question: LeBron or Michael Jordan? Davis, without any hesitation, picked the Bulls legend over his fellow Finals MVP.
“Jordan or Lebron???”

Many have claimed that the answer was taken out of context as AD immediately deflected to Jordan brand shoes and that he was referring to picking those over LeBron sneakers. Others have also said he was making his pick for what movie he liked more and said he liked the original Space Jam more.
This would make sense considering the fact that he most probably grew up watching the 1996 one with ‘His Airness’ in it. It could’ve also been the Chicago connection between the two as AD was raised in Chi-Town and of course, Michael Jordan won 6 titles in the same city.
