One of the biggest things about the NBA is its uncertainty. Nothing in the league is a given, and anything can change at any given time. Carmelo Anthony was an All-Star in 2017 and was out of a job in 2018. Things often do not make sense, and one such thing was the sudden disappearance of Isaiah Thomas from the NBA.
After his MVP caliber season with the Celtics in 2016, Thomas was traded to the Cavaliers in order to acquire Kyrie Irving. After playing 15 games with LeBron James and the Cavs, Isaiah Thomas got traded to the Lakers. Dealing with a right hip injury, IT’s performances dropped from an MVP-level player to a player who had to take a minimum deal to stay in the league. Thomas has been in five teams in the previous four seasons but never found a significant role.
LeBron James hypes up Isaiah Thomas as Lakers free agency rumors float
Despite not being in an NBA team, Isaiah Thomas is creating hype for himself with some excellent plays in Pro-Am games. Having scored 65 and 81 points in two consecutive games, Thomas sure has gotten a lot of eyes on himself.
He took it to his Twitter to talk about the emotional breakdown he had after the 81 point performance.
I wasn’t showing y’all a snippet of me being emotional so y’all can feel sorry 4 me. Hell no!!! My life is GREAT!! I was showing y’all that to see what it feels like to give everything you have to something you love and to see it slowly coming back where it’s suppose to be TMC 🏁

That emotion was tied up from the last 4yrs battling every single day!!! I ain’t talking about the “league” giving up on me lol. THE WORLD GAVE UP ON ME & WAS SHITTING ON ME WHILE I WAS DOWN AND OUT!! When you love something you’ll do whatever it takes to get that!!! I’m back 🏁

Thomas is rumored to be in talks with the Lakers about an NBA contract. Hence, when LeBron James approached Isaiah Thomas to hype him up, NBA Twitter obviously did not see it as an innocent act.
Yessir Killa!! Keep going my G! #TMC🏁 https://t.co/iYxIMjNE3D

Hopefully, Isaiah Thomas lands a contract soon. He has put in as many efforts as anyone, or even more, and deserves every bit of it.
