“Gary Payton II, that dunk was nasty”: LeBron James left speechless as Warriors Guard has a filthy poster over the Raptors during Summer league

LeBron James was stunned as Warriors guard Gary Payton II puts Raptors’ Dalano Banton on an insane poster dunk during their Summer League clash.

The NBA Summer League is one of the most anticipated moments of the offseason. Lottery picks like to show out and prove their worth, undrafted players focus on impressing any team for a place on their roster, and several veterans aspire to make an NBA comeback. While the superstars of the league come out to support their respective teams’ young guns.

After missing out on Summer League action due to the coronavirus the last year, the event has been pretty hyped up and the battles have been pretty close with several games going into single and even double overtimes.

On Wednesday night, the Golden State Warriors faced the Toronto Raptors at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. It surely was a highly-anticipated bout as a few top picks of the 2021 Draft were going against each other. GSW’s Jonathan Kuminga (7th) and Moses Moody (14th) were going against Scottie Barnes (4th). Even though the top picks didn’t disappoint in the hard-fought battle, it was the 28-year-old Gary Payton II of the Warriors who had the best highlight play, probably of the entire Summer League.

For G-League Ignite player Jonathan Kuminga led the Warriors to a 90-84 win, with his game-high 18 points and 4 rebounds performance. However, it was Gary Payton II who stole the night after he put Dalano Banton of Toronto on a filthy poster.

During the dying minutes of the game, with GSW holding onto an 83-77 Gary Payton II, son of Hall-Of-Famer Gary Payton, beat Precious Achiuwa to drive to the lane and ended up dunking the ball all over the 6-foot-9 Banton.
