"Luka Doncic jumps like an old white man": Mavericks star gets booed by teammates for making a layup instead of a highlight dunk

Slovenian sensation Luka Doncic gets booed by his bench for laying it in instead of dunking against the Charlotte Hornets.

Luka Doncic, if anyone has seen him play, is known for his crafty passes, step-back 3 pointers, and clutch plays. Even in his third very season in the NBA, he is considered one of the top players. Even in his sophomore year itself, he was a top-5 candidate for MVP.

Now in his third year, he is the unquestioned leader of the Mavericks and looks to lead them back to the playoffs.

The Mavericks fans very well know that Luka can slam it down when he wants to. Back in his days in the Euroleague, Luka was a power slammer, and slammed some big ones. Doncic had shared this tweet around a year ago, and called it back when he used to jump.

Luka Doncic gets booed by his bench

Doncic is probably one of the more liked guys in the NBA. One assumes the same applies to players of his own team as well. In the matchup against the Hornets, Luka got a steal and had an open lane for a dunk.

It looked like he was going to slam it in, but looks like he changed his mind at the last moment. His teammates, who were expecting something for NBA Top 10, were visibly disappointed by his efforts.

The Slovenian sensation is on his way to have yet another huge season. He is averaging 27.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 8.3 assists in the 9 games he’s played this season. If he continues his form, he can justify his status as the betting favorite to win the MVP title.
