‘Make a U-Turn; gotta walk back after I win a ring’: Quinn Cook tells JR Smith Lakers’ bus left him at the arena
The Lakers forgot about Quinn Cook, as they packed up and left the arena post winning their 17th NBA Title in the Orlando Bubble.
Quinn Cook, now a 2x champion, did not have much time on the court these playoffs. Playing with a stacked Lakers team, Cook barely got 2 minutes and 50 seconds of playing time in the entire Finals, where he scored 3 points.
The 27-year-old did not get much playing time in the Bubble altogether, but he was a very valuable part of the team nonetheless.
While Cook played just 6 games in the playoffs for the Lakers, the Lakers would have appreciated his commitment to the team to join them in the Bubble. With there being no audience in the Bubble to cheer the players on, the bench had an important role in keeping the players hyped up.

Quinn Cook comments on JR Smith’s Instagram live to tell them to turn around
It is understandable that the Lakers got carried away in their celebration. After all, they won a championship in these challenging times and in unprecedented situations. This however doesn’t explain how they forgot their own teammate at the arena. While the Lakers’ team bus left the arena, they forgot their teammate Quinn Cook.
Quinn Cook had to comment on JR Smith’s Instagram Live to let them know he was stranded behind.

Quinn Cook is signed with the Lakers until the end of the 2020-21 season. He has already played with LeBron James before in Cleveland and he was teammates with Javale McGee back in Oakland.
He is an excellent shooter and is a perfect backup point guard to have. What motivated him to leave the Warriors and join the Lakers was his late father’s unwavering loyalty to the Lakers.
After winning the championship, he dedicated it to his father.
