A video comparing a layup by Stephen Curry against the San Antonio Spurs to that of Michael Jordan in his heyday is going viral.

It is difficult to pinpoint one exact thing that was great about Michael Jordan and his offensive wherewithal. His hang time moves were a huge draw, but so were his shots from the post. MJ was as good on the drive as he was while facing up his defender and shooting it in his grill.
It was this overall technical superiority that allowed Jordan to win 10 scoring titles in 11 full seasons as a Bulls player. Michael would never be a role model by choice, but it came as part of the job description of being the most famous athlete on earth.
On the other hand, we can all universally concur at the greatest thing in Steph’s offensive repertoire – his ability to pull up and hit it from Pakistan. This is why his other plays – when he does make them – look even more breathtaking.
Stephen Curry lays it up and in like Michael Jordan
A Warriors fan has made a side-by-side video comparing a layup by MJ with the Bulls to Steph’s effort on Tuesday night. You can take a look at it right here:

Not for nothing is Michael Jordan called His Airness. This video illustrates quite clearly his superior hang time and jumping mechanics. Stephen Curry, on the other hand, is more conservative with his in-air movements, but consequently more controlled.
Both of these layups are amazing in their own right. I’d personally take MJ’s effort if push came to shove, mainly because he looks a ton more practiced at it. The Bulls legend practically invented the whole clutch time/hang time concept for a reason.
