LeBron James likes how well Montrezl Harrell has come along for the Lakers so far, and he expressed his admiration for it yesterday.

One of the biggest reasons for the Lakers underperforming is the absence of their second star. LeBron’s All-Star teammate Anthony Davis has been sidelined with injuries, missing 15 games already.
Due to this, a lot of the team’s load fell on King James. Despite this, James has been on a tremendous MVP-level form. During the Lakers’ rough patch, the players mentioned how the supporting cast had to rise up.
With AD out of the lineup, each player would have to bring more energy onto the court. One of those players, who LBJ thinks has stepped up, filling Davis’ shoes, is defending Sixth Man of the Year, Montrezl Harrell. In an interview after the match against Indiana, James praised Harrell for his current form and recent performance:
“Some things go without saying. We all have to step up in AD’s absence. And Trezz did that tonight, on both ends, especially in that fourth quarter, he stepped up big-time offensively and we needed that push… He’s getting better and better every single game, and we’re going to continue to need his energy and effort on both ends of the floor.”

‘Montrezl Harrell brings the energy in each and every possession’: LeBron James
It was about time that the supporting cast stepped up and helped LeBron led them to win games. The 17-time All-Star did his role absolutely perfectly. Despite being 36-years-old, James is averaging the third-highest minutes in the whole league.
Montrezl Harrell has been a big helping hand for James. One can often see Harrell making right hustle plays and bringing the extra energy off the bench to help the Lakers win games.

LeBron has been averaging a staggering 25.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game. The rest of the Lakers will have to complement his MVP-like performance to win games.
With a 25-13 record, Los Angeles Lakers have the whole second half of the 72-game season to change where they stand. The Lakers will now prepare themselves to be hosts to Stephen Curry and the Warriors at the Chase Center.
