Adam Silver recently announced that 100 of the league’s top executives alongside him would be taking a 20 percent pay cut in the wake of the pandemic. The commissioner has played a pivotal role to restart the league in Orlando in-spite of the social crisis in America.
He has been instrumental in coming up with the idea of the Bubble in Orlando and has ensured that all the logistics are being taken care of. The heart of the Bubble is around the players and staff and making them feel that this is just another NBA season, and until now, Silver has been able to achieve that

The NBA commissioner earns around $10 million every year. Even with a 20 percent pay cut, the commissioner will still earn $8 million this year. The figure seems to be around that of an average NBA player. To put it into perspective, Fred VanVleet has a 2-year contract which earns him around $9 million per year.
The commissioner shouldn’t have a problem taking a pay-cut though as he has a reported net worth of a whooping $35 million. To put it into perspective, NBA superstars Anthony Davis and Kawhi Leonard currently have a net worth of $30 million.
