Blazers vs Nuggets TV Schedule

9th seeded Portland Trailblazers will be taking on the Denver Nuggets tonight in the NBA 2020 restart. Read more for the preview and where to watch the game.

The Trailblazers will take on the Nuggets in the latter’s only back-to-back game of the NBA 2020 restart. Last night, Micheal Porter Jr (30 points and a career-high 15 rebounds) and Nikola Jokic ‘s splendid performance completed a 132-126 victory against the Spurs.

The Trailblazers, meanwhile, are part of the group that is eyeing for a place in the play-offs. They are currently in 9th, one victory behind 8th seeded Memphis Grizzlies. A victory here will close the gap they have on the Grizzlies. They beat Houston Rockets in their previous game.

With Lillard firing on all cylinders, the Blazers are now brilliantly placed to enter the play-in tournament. They will however want to qualify as the 8th seed, so that the 9th seed team would need to beat them twice in that particular tournament.

How will the teams line up?

Portland Trailblazers

Portland will definitely be among the favourites to clinch a playoff spot in the western conference. They have won 2 out of their 3 seeding games. Damian Lillard topped the charts, scoring with 21 points for the Trailblazers while Jusuf Nurkic and Carmelo Anthony finished with double-doubles on the night to help take down the Houston Rockets 110-102.

The Trail Blazers enter Thursday’s matchup with the Nuggets just one game behind the Memphis Grizzlies for the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference. With 4 straight losses in the NBA restart and the injury of Jaren Jackson Junior, the Blazers should have a good chance to clinch a spot in the play-offs.

Lillard will want to ensure that the Blazers play with the same momentum, as they have a brilliant chance of upsetting the Lakers in round 1, if they manage to get there.

Predicted Lineup: Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, Carmelo Anthony, Zach Collins, Jusuf Nurkic

Denver Nuggets

The emergence of Micheal Porter Jr will surely be a relief to many Nuggets fans. He scored a career-high 37 points to go along with 12 rebounds against OKC Thunder. Against San Antonio Spurs he scored 30 and 15 rebounds.

Nikola Jokic has had a decent enough start to the Bubble and the Nuggets talisman would want a few strong showings under his belt before the playoffs begin on August 17th.

Predicted Lineup: Monte Morris, Torrey Craig, Michael Porter Jr., Paul Millsap, Nikola Jokic.
