The Memphis Grizzlies haven’t had the best NBA restart they could hope for. They have been mediocre on the court and would want to rectify all the mistakes against the Pelicans tonight.
Yesterday, they lost against by Spurs by 2 points, an agonising defeat.
The Pelicans are in a worse situation. They were defeated by Utah Jazz in their opening match in a close game which ended 106-104. However, they were thrashed by the Clippers, who emerged with a 23-point victory, as the scores ended 126-103.

Grizzlies vs Pelicans Preview
Both Pelicans and Grizzlies are locked in an intense and competitive race to end up among the top 8 in the Western Conference.
The Grizzlies, who are currently seeded at 8th, have a four-game lead over the Pelicans who are lingering in 11th place in the Western Conference table.
To ensure that they still have an outside chance of qualifying, Zion Williamson and his men must muster all their strength to break the Pelicans defence and get themselves a victory.
Zion has been on a minutes restriction in the 1st two games and will be itching to get an entire game in against one of their direct rivals for that final playoff spot.
How will both teams lineup?
The beatdown the Pelicans encountered against the Clippers will surely have an impact on the momentum. The Pelicans will have to put the past behind them their tougher encounters are behind them. They will have to put up a better performance than they did against the Clippers on both ends to snatch a victory here.
The favourite candidate for Rookie-of-the-year Ja Morant has been in sublime form since he entered the bubble. Memphis will definitely need him to come through for them tonight.
Ja Morant did a little bit of everything on Sunday! 💪
